About Dorset Alpaca Walking

Celebrate a special birthday, anniversary or special occasion, with this unforgettable and 'different' experience.

The walk takes around one and a half to two hours, and consists of an initial rounding up of the herd and learning all about our alpacas. This is followed by harnessing the chosen alpacas, and then a gentle stroll through beautiful Dorset countryside, or the local hamlet. We are located on a private lane set in parkland laid out by 'Capability' Brown, which is an area designated as being of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty.' The session usually ends up with one to one feeding of the alpacas with their favourite treats!

Have a chance to really bond with these delightful gentle creatures,  in really beautiful surroundings, and take photos and videos so you will always remember this special day

The cost is £30 per person walking one alpaca, or £20 per person (without an alpaca)  accompanying their party or group. We accept a minimum of two people per session.  Children must be 12 or over to walk an alpaca individually.

As a further option you can then relax with a tea/coffee or soft drinks,  delicious cakes and biscuits either on comfortable sofas in our stylish barn surrounded by classic cars, or outside overlooking the alpacas in their meadow. This cost for tea and cake is £7 per person.

Only one companion per person walking an alpaca, and please talk to us if you have small children. Children must be 12 or over to walk an alpaca, and eight years or older to accompany.
